Welcome to PS 343! Our special clubs and afterschool programs offer a vibrant array of activities designed to enrich our students' educational experience. Our Orchestra Club allows students to explore their musical talents alongside their peers. Additionally, we have arts and crafts, science experiments, and sports, ensuring there’s something for everyone. These programs foster teamwork and provide a safe, engaging environment for children to explore their interests build lasting friendships.

After School
P.S. 343Q The Children’s Lab School offers afterschool programming through a community based partnership with Sunnyside Community Services as part of its Beacon Afterschool Program. Programming runs daily after dismissal, typically until early evening, and is available to elementary students at no cost to families.

The afterschool program provides a balanced mix of homework support, arts and creative activities, physical movement and recreation, and opportunities for social emotional learning and community building. Programming emphasizes student engagement, wellness, and whole child development in a safe and supportive environment.

Afterschool services are coordinated by Sunnyside Community Services and align with the school’s instructional priorities and commitment to student well being. Enrollment information and program details are shared with families through school communications including newsletters, flyers, and the parent coordinator.
