Please make sure your child reads daily at home AND practices how to read with fluency.

Talk with your child about the books they are reading. Ask: How would you describe the characters? How do you know?
Important Dates
Here are some important dates to remember:

September 4: First day of school
September 15: Evening Parent-Teacher Conferences
September 23–24: Rosh Hashanah, schools closed
October 2: Yom Kippur, schools closed
October 13: Italian Heritage/Indigenous Peoples' Day, schools closed
October 20: Diwali, schools closed
November 4: Election Day; students do not attend school
November 27-28: Thanksgiving recess
December 24 - January 2: Winter Recess
January 19: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
February 16 - 20: Mid-Winter Recess
