Fourth Grade
What We Are Learning
Math
Young mathematicians will be working on geometry and measurement, including measuring and classifying geometric figures, as well as calculating area and perimeter. They will also work on precision and clarity in their math work and test-taking strategies.

Literacy 4th grade readers will be working on reading and annotating a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts, as well as answering text-dependent questions and explaining/defending their responses. Our writers will work on answering text-dependent questions in paragraph and essay form.

Social Studies
4th grade historians will study colonial times and the causes of the American Revolution.

Home Connection
-
REMIND: Please download the Remind app and check regularly for messages from the school and your child’s teachers.
-
HOMEWORK: Homework is assigned each Monday and collected the following Monday, but we check daily, so please remind your child to put their packet back in the communication folder each evening.
-
ATTENDANCE MATTERS Our school and classrooms are a better places when all children are here and ready to learn each day! More time in school means your child will get the social-emotional and academic support they need to thrive, learn, and be happy. We are here to support. Your child may miss school for illness, emergencies, or for religious reasons, but generally speaking, we want to see every student in school all day, every day! 🙂
